SRINAGAR, Jan 25: Police arrested two drug peddlers and recovered large number of banned psychotropic substance and 210 Codiene Phosphate bottles.
A Police spokesman said a naka was laid by police party of Police Station Lal Bazar at Baghi Ali Mardan Khan, Lal Bazar. During the checking, a vehicle was intercepted and a large number of banned psychotropic substance and 210 Codiene Phosphate bottles were recovered.
“Two persons identified as Mohammad Yousuf Bhat, a resident of Ahmad Nagar 90 feet Soura and Shabir Ahmad Sheikh, a resident of Khanyar Budoo Bagh who were in the vehicle were arrested. The accused disclosed that they have been involved in selling the narcotic and psychotropic drugs since long among the youth in various areas particularly in Srinagar,” he said
