UDHAMPUR, Aug 21: Police arrested two drug peddlers from Tikri area and recovered 8.62 grams of heroin like substance from their possession.
At Naka Point Tikri, Police team stopped one motorcycle bearing registration number JK14C-7728, which was coming from Jammu towards Udhampur. for checking. On frisking, 8.62 grams of heroin was recovered from the possession of two persons riding the motorcycle, who were taken into custody.
The riders were identified as Sandeep Singh son of Umesh Singh, resident of Pangara, Krimchi, Udhampur and Vikas Sharma alias Psycho, son of Ved Raj Sharma, resident of Himbra, Udhampur.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 131/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Rehambal and further investigation is underway.
