UDHAMPUR, Feb 8: Two drug peddlers were held with contraband heroin like substances in Rehambal, here today.
The accused, namely Sumit Suri, son of Roshan Lal Suri of MH Road Udhampur and Sahil Bhat son of Nishat Ullah of Gangera, Udhampur who apprehended when they were coming from Jammu side towards Udhampur by foot.
Even as they tried to flee, a Police team from PS Rehambal, led by SHO Nishat Sumbria apprehended them at naka point Rehambal.
On frisking, 4.30 grams of heroin like substance was recovered from their possession following which the duo was arrested.
A case FIR number 21/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered in this connection at PS Rehambal.
