JAMMU, Aug 14: Pacca Danga police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested two drug peddlers and recovered poppy straw from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Pacca Danga Police Station laid a naka near Manda and intercepted two persons.
During checking, police recovered 14.8 kilograms of poppy straw from their possession and arrested them.
The arrested persons have been identified as Amarjeet Singh, son of Banta Singh of Ludhiana and Amanadeep Singh, son of Ram Lasya of Jallandhar.
Cases under FIR Numbers 122/18 and 123/18 under relevant Sections of law have been registered at Police Station Pacca Danga and further investigations of the cases are going on.
Police team led by SHO Domana SI Dheeraj Nagpal made the arrest under the supervision SDPO City Varun Jandial, SP City GL Sharma and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
