JAMMU, May 14: Nehru Market Police arrested two drug peddlers along with heroin.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Nehru Market Police Post led by SI Rohit Gandhi under the supervision of SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Bharat Sharma laid a naka at Bikram Chowk intercepted a scooty without registration number.
During checking, police team recovered around 2 grams heroin from the possession of two persons riding on the scooty and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Vishal Sharma, son of Bhushan Kumar Sharma, a resident of Sarwal District Jammu and Sourav Sharma, son of Raj Kumar, a resident of Upper Laxmi Nagar District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 150/2021 under Section 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment and other persons involved in this illegal trade.
