JAMMU, Feb 2: Kanachack police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested two drug peddlers and recovered large quantity of intoxicant capsules and tablets from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a joint team from Kanachack Police Station and Border Police Post Gajansoo laid a naka at Karloop and intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02BC-4883.
During checking, police recovered 264 intoxicant capsules and 180 tablets from the possession of rider and his associate and arrested them.
The arrested persons have been identified as Sohan Lal, son of Shamsher Singh and Ravi Kumar, son of Sukh Ram, both residents of Gajansoo.
A case under FIR Number 13/18 under Section 8/20/21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Kanachack and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Kanachack Inspector Neeraj Choudhary and assisted by Incharge BPP Gajansoo SI Vikrant Singh made the arrest under the close supervision of SDPO Domana Sandeep Gupta, SP Rural Shivdeep Singh Jamwal and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
