2 die under suspicious circumstances

RAJOURI, Nov 18: In two tragic incidents in Rajouri today, a student and a young boy lost their lives under suspicious circumstances.
According to police, 17-year-old Shafayat Ahmed, son of Mohammad Qasim and a 12th-grade student, was found hanging at his home in the Muradpur area two days ago. He was rushed to the nearby Hospital in an unconscious condition. After initial treatment, he was referred to GMC Jammu, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
After post-mortem examination and completion of legal formalities, the body was handed over to the family. Shafayat was reportedly the only son of his parents, who are devastated by the loss.
In another incident, Ejaz Ahmed, a young boy originally hailing from Tarkassi and currently residing with his family in a rented house in the Khandli Thuddi area, was found hanging near his residence on Tuesday.
He was immediately shifted to GMC Rajouri, where doctors declared him brought dead. Medical Superintendent GMC Rajouri, Dr Shamim Choudhary, confirmed that the post-mortem examination was conducted and the body was subsequently handed over to the family.
Rajouri Police have registered cases of death under suspicious circumstances in both incidents and have initiated further investigation to determine the exact causes behind these unfortunate deaths. Authorities have assured that all angles are being thoroughly probed.
