UDHAMPUR, Dec 17: A hotel employee at Kud died under suspicious circumstances and his body was recovered from a Nallah near National Highway in Udhampur district.
According to police one Ravi Singh (26), son of Payar Singh, a resident of Batote was an employee of the Hotel Tridev at Kud. Last night at about 11:45 pm his body was found at back side of the hotel under mysterious circumstances.
Another hotel employee spotted him and took him to Sub District Hospital Chenani where doctors declared him as brought dead.
According to SHO, Kud, Arun Koul as per CCTV footage, he and another hotel staff member went to Room No. 202 at around 11 pm and after 15-20 minutes, he was found fell down from the third floor, but the cause of fall is not yet known.
He said inquest proceedings have been started under 174 CrPC to ascertain the cause of death.
Meanwhile, one Jasbir Singh (62), son of Hardeep Singh, resident of ward number 5, Barrian, Udhampur, found dead at Sangror Nallah near National Highway under mysterious circumstances. Locals immediately called the police and Chaman Gorkha, SHO Udhampur rushed the spot with police team and took the dead body in custody. It was shifted to District Hospital. This man was missing for the last five days. The police has launched inquest proceedings.
