KATHUA, June 28: An employee (Trackman) of Railways died due to electric shock while checking the Railway track, at 17 Miles Point, near Govindsar, while a girl died after drowning in ground level tank, here today.
According to the police, an employee (Trackman) namely Bhawan Dass, son of Bodh Raj resident of Madhopur, Punjab of Railways received an electric shock, while checking the Railway track and was shifted to District Hospital, Kathua in semi-conscience state by his colleagues and police officials, where he breathed his last.
The body was handed over to his relatives after conducting post-mortem. The Railways has ordered an inquiry in this regard.
Meanwhile, a girl namely Kajal (4) of UP presently residing at Hatli More died due to drowning in ground level tank in Hatli More area.
