2 day Dental Conference concludes at Gulmarg

Srinagar, Oct 20: The two-day 16th IDA J&K State Dental Conference concluded today at the Tourist Club, Gulmarg.
The event was inaugurated earlier at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC), Srinagar, by Chief Guest Sakina Itoo, who addressed key concerns of the dental community.
Prof. Nilofer Khan, Vice Chancellor of the University of Kashmir, attended as Guest of Honour and underscored the importance of such annual conferences in the professional growth of dental practitioners.
The conference witnessed deliberations, workshops, and expert sessions focused on emerging trends in dental science and patient care.
The event featured several eminent speakers, including Prof. Dr. Parveen Lone, Principal IGGDC Jammu, Dr. Hari Haren Shah, a renowned endodontist from Mumbai, Dr. Visharaj Nikam from Pune, and Dr. Harpreet Singh from Chandigarh.
The office bearers of the IDA J&K State Branch played a key role in organising and coordinating the conference, which included lectures and hands-on workshops on topics such as advanced endodontics, digital dentistry, and emerging technologies in patient care.
Organisers described the conference as a productive engagement that highlighted the need for employment opportunities, policy support, and continued collaboration within the dental fraternity.
Dr. Abdul Latif Mattoo, Organising Chairman, welcomed participants and dignitaries at the inaugural session, while Dr. Khalid Nazir, Organising Secretary, concluded the event by delivering the vote of thanks.
