SAMBA, Dec 15: Five people were injured in a road accident on Jammu- Pathankot National Highway near Thandi Khui in Vijaypur tehsil of Samba district late tonight.
As per reports a Breeza car on way from Samba to Jammu which was in high speed crossed the divider of the National Highway near Thandi Khui and hit with a trailer which was coming from opposite direction besides a Maruti 800 which was also plying on the same side of Highway before the car turned turtle. The Breeza car was totally damaged in the accident.
Police said five persons travelling in the car were injured out of them two children are in a critical condition. All the injured were shifted to GMC Jammu for treatment. Soon after the incident, the police team led by SHO Vijaypur Sudhir Kumar Sadhotra rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Medical College.
After the accident, heavy traffic jam took place on the National Highway. The identity of injured has not been ascertained yet. The Vijaypur Police has registered a case under relevant Sections of the law in this regard.
