KISHTWAR, Sept 23: Police arrested two persons along with large quantity of illicit liquor pouches.
As per police sources, based on specific information, a team from Kishtwar Police Station laid a naka near Om Mehta Road and intercepted two persons, who were hiding themselves from the cops.
During checking, police recovered 72 pouches of illicit liquor from their possession and arrested them.
The arrested persons have been identified as Binod Kumar, son of Som Nath and Kuldeep Kumar, son of Saroop Chand, both residents of Tander Dachhan.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered against them at Police Station Kishtwar and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Kishtwar Inspector Sameer Jellani made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Tussif Ahmed and SSP Kishtwar Abrar Choudhary.
