UDHAMPUR, July 12: Police today arrested two bovine smugglers and rescued 10 bovine animals from their possession.
Based on reliable information, a team of Police Post Tikri, led by incharge Sub Inspector Suresh Gotam laid a surprise naka near Police Post Tikri last late night, intercepted two Mahindra load carriers bearing Registration Numbers JK02X-4434 and JK02AB-8642 and rescued 10 bovine animals.
The vehicles were seized and their drivers namely Mohd Khurshid son of Bilal Din and Sadiq son of Mohd Shah of Beli Chrana Jammu were arrested.
A case FIR No 111/14 U/S 188/RPC 3 PC ACT in this regard has been registered at Police Station Rehambal and investigation of the case is going on.
