RAMBAN, May 5: The police apprehended two absconders evading their arrest since last 18 and 14 years respectively on Monday.
Police sources said on the directions of SSP Ramban Kulbir Singh special police teams arrested two absconders wanted in two different cases registered at Police Station Batote and Ramban respectively.
Police said Tanveet Ahmed son of Mohd Iqbal resident of Razkang Tehsil Larnoo, District Anantnag was wanted in case FIR No. 20 of 2007 under section 188/RPC, 3 PC Act and Sections 146/196/56 Motor Vehicle Act of Police Station Batote.
They said Tanveet Ahmed was evading arrest since last 18 years.
Similarly Mohd Mussa alias Gatia son of Mohd Shafi resident of Sidhra, Jammu, was wanted in case FIR No. 94 of 2011 under Section 188, RPC of Police Station Ramban.
He was evading his arrest since last 14 years.
Earlier general arrest warrants under Section 512 CrPC against Tanveet Ahmed and Mohd Mussa were issued by the hon’ble courts.
