19,776 candidates appear in Combined Competitive (Prelim) Exam by JKPSC

JAMMU, Feb 23: Jammu Kashmir Public Services Commission (JKPSC) today successfully conducted Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination, in which more than 19 thousand candidates appeared.
According to an official spokesperson, a total of 71 exam centres were established across Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory, in which 19,776 candidates appeared.
In Jammu division, there were total 43 centres, including four in Rajouri and two in Doda while in Kashmir division, 14 exam centres were established in Srinagar, five in Anantnag and three in Baramulla.
Out of total 31,655 registered candidates, 19,776 of them appeared in the exam. 13881 of them appeared in Jammu centres and 5895 in Kashmir centres.
The spokesman further informed that elaborate arrangements were made by the JKPSC for smooth conduct of the exam. Chairman Arun Choudhary and all members of the JKPSC personally monitored all the arrangements and visited the exam centres, said the spokesperson, adding that one Magistrate and two Observers were appointed in each exam centre.
Besides, spokesperson further said, adequate security arrangements were also made around all the exam centres, with the help of Police Administration.
