RAJOURI, Nov 11: At least 19 goats of a nomad family died due to cloudburst in remote Narla area of block Khawas last evening.
Official sources said that team from Department of Sheep Husbandry reached the spot and examined the dead animals. It was reported that a poor nomadic family suffered a heavy loss last evening due to bad weather as their 19 goats were perished in lightning and cloudburst.
Rafiq Sagar, a local said that the goats of one Mian, son of Pannu, had settled at night at the same place where they usually stayed. Amidst heavy rain and lightning cloudburst hit the area resulting into the death of 19 goats.
Former Sarpanch Abdul Rehman has demanded that Government must provide relief to the poor nomad family for the loss.
