RAJOURI, June 25: In a significant enforcement drive, Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Rajouri, Rajesh Gupta, in collaboration with the District Police, today conducted an extensive road checking operation on the National Highway.
The crackdown was initiated under the directions of Transport Commissioner Vishesh Paul Mahajan, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma, SSP Rajouri Gaurav Sikarwar, and DySP Headquarters Satish Kumar, aimed at curbing violations of the Motor Vehicles (MV) Act.
During the drive, over 280 vehicles were inspected. As a result, 17 vehicles were seized and 29 e-challans were issued for various violations. The total penalty amount from the e-challans is estimated at Rs 1,11,660.
The enforcement authorities have reiterated their commitment to road safety and strict compliance with traffic regulations. More such drives are expected in the coming days.
