RAJOURI, June 14: The police seized 17 bovine animals from Chingus area of Rajouri last night but the smugglers escaped.
Official sources said that police party led by SI Police Post, Chingus during nakka on highway intercepted four persons who were carrying 17 bovine animals on foot towards Rajouri. As the police party challenged them, they slipped away leaving behind the animals. The police seized all the animals and registered a case in this connection.
