RAJOURI, May 23: The police seized a heavy load carrier and rescued 16 bovine animals from Chingus area of Rajouri this evening.
Official sources said that a police party during checking on Jammu-Poonch highway intercepted a heavy vehicle bearing registration No. JK02CD/2627 loaded with 11 cows and five bulls at Kallar Naka point in Chingus. The police seized the vehicle and rescued all the cattle.
The police arrested vehicle driver- Karamat Hussain, son of Liaqat , resident of Bhimber Gali ( Poonch) and bovine smuggler- Maqbool Hussain, son of Mohd Bashir, resident of Belicharana, Jammu. The police registered a case in this connection.
