16 bovines rescued

UDHAMPUR, June 10: Foiling two separate attempts of bovine smuggling, Police rescued 16 bovine animals, here today.
One person namely Taffee, son of Khan Mir of Ghordi Jagir was found illegally carrying three bovines on foot without any valid permission. The accused was arrested on the spot and all the bovines were safely rescued.
In this connection, a FIR number 88/2025 U/S 223 BNS, 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Ramnagar.
In another case in Rehambal area, 13 bovines were being smuggled on foot from Jammu towards Kashmir by two unidentified persons, who managed to flee from the spot upon seeing the police team at Rehambal naka point. All the bovines were rescued.
Case FIR number 83/2025 U/S 223 BNS, 11 PCA Act has been registered in this connection at PS Rehambal.
