155 medics from GMC Sgr among 2289 test +ve in Kashmir, 3 die

Srinagar, Jan 16 : At least 155 doctors and paramedics were among 2289 people who tested positive for COVID-19 in Kashmir today taking the number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 15, 883 while three persons died of the viral infection.
The Nodal officer GMC Srinagar and Head of the Department Preventive and Social Medicine, Dr Mohammad Saleem Khan said here that 145 doctors, 130 MBBS students and 130 paramedics tested positive for COVID in GMC Srinagar and Associated Hospitals this month. As the number of cases are increasing alarmingly, he asked people to wear mask and maintain social distance to prevent its further spread.

With three deaths in Kashmir, the toll in J&K has gone to 4567 including 2346 in Kashmir.
Srinagar reported 614, Baramulla 463, Budgam 404, Pulwama 94, Kupwara 157, Anantnag 230, Bandipora 166, Ganderbal 27, Kulgam 127 and Shopian 7.
Today, 470 COVID-19 patients recovered including 162 from Kashmir. So far 338923 people have recovered, leaving active case tally at 15883 including 9294 in Kashmir.
