SAMBA, Mar 10: 9 Battalion BSF (The Nidar Nine), organized “Inter-Battalion Frontier Level Basketball Competition 2016-17”, which concluded, here today.
A total 15 teams of Frontier Jammu are participated in the Competition.
The tournament was earlier inaugurated by Arvind Ghildiyal, Commandant 9 Bn BSF, Samba.
The final match played today in presence of chief guest, Rajesh Kumar Gurung, DIG, Samba Sector and Senior Officers of BSF.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Gurung informed that tournament was organized to create feelings of team spirit, dedication to work and game plan among troops.
The keenly contested final match of Basketball was won by 152 Bn BSF by defeating 89 Bn team by 3 points.
The chief guest presented trophies to the winners and runners-up teams, besides distributing other prizes among the players.
The vote of thanks was presented by Rajesh Kumar Gurung at the end.
