SAMBA, Mar 2: Police here claimed that they have seized 55 sacks of banned polythene bags weighing around 1500 kilograms.
Acting on reliable information, a party of Police Station Samba intercepted a vehicle (JK02BP-2521) at SIDCO Chowk Samba.
During search of the vehicle driven by one Rajan Kumar of Pathankot, Punjab, 55 sacks of polythene bags weighing around 1500 kilograms concealed beneath empty carton boxes were seized, he said.
He said the matter has been taken up with the District Pollution Control Board, Samba for further legal proceedings.
