15 teachers suspended

POONCH, Mar 27:  Fifteen teachers were placed under suspension while dismissal of  two ReT teachers was recommended to the higher authorities after the CEO Poonch and ZEO Mandi conducted surprise checking in several schools in the block and found teachers absent from duty and noticed a few schools locked.
On the basis of public complaints, the CEO and ZEO Mandi, Mohd Nazir Danish visited several  Middle and Primary schools at Sawjia, Chaprian, Hill Brarai, Ganter and Maidan Gagrian  where many teachers were found absent unauthorizedly. The people alleged that they were in habit of remaining absent from duty and hardly come to get their salary twice or thrice in a month, thus playing with the career of their children.
These teachers were also charge-sheeted and asked to explain their position within two days. The teachers against whom the action has been taken are- Master Jyoti Sharma, Shaida Parveen teacher, Shabir Ahmed teacher and Javed Ahmed teacher from Govt Middle School Sundri Sawjian, Mohd Saleem teacher from GMS Chaprian, Shazia Ismail teacher GPS Miran, Nazima Baby teacher and Kaneez Fatima teacher  from GPS Hill Brarai, Ghulam Mohd  master, Madhia Akram teacher and Ajaz Ahmed teacher GMS Ganter, Mohd Hayat master, Mumtaz Ahmed teacher, Mehraj Khalid teacher and Zahida Parveen teacher   from  Govt M S Maidan Gagrian.
Two ReT teachers from Govt PS Upper Chaprian who were habitual absentees and against whom there was strong public resentment, were disengaged. They have been identified as  Saleem Jahangir  and Nahida Akhter. Their case was forwarded to the higher authorities for dismissal from service. Another ReT teacher Zahida Parveen posted at PS Hajama who was also absent was charge sheeted. She was asked to explain her position.
