KATHUA, Nov 25: Kathua police under the overall supervision of SSP, R C Kotwal today seized 15 litres of illicit liquor near Kuka Chak, Kathua and arrested a lady in this connection.
Police said a team of Police Station (PS) Kathua led by Inspector, Om Parkash Chib, SHO PS Kathua under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Kathua, Shammi Kumar during patrolling duty in its jurisdictional area near agriculture nursery at Kuka Chak apprehended one suspected lady namely Rajni Devi, wife of Parvesh Kumar of Chak Drab Khan tehsil and district Kathua.
On physical checking, 15 litres of illicit liquor were recovered from her illegal possession. Thereafter all the recovered consignment of illicit liquor was seized and the lady was arrested. A case vide FIR No. 495/2021 u/s 48 (a) Excise Act was registered at PS Kathua and further investigation has been initiated.
