REASI/ POONCH, Oct 27: At least 15 persons were injured in two separate road accidents in Reasi and Poonch districts today.
Reports said a mini truck belonging to NHPC Salal, coming from Damtop towards Salal Power house met with an accident near NHPC workshop Jyotipuram, resulting into injuries to nine persons.
Five persons including driver were shifted to District Hospital, Reasi for treatment and 4 others were treated at NHPC Jyotipuram Hospital.
The injured who were brought to the DH Reasi were identified as Sohan Singh, son of Moti Ram from Thanpal; Surinder Singh (35) son of Rashpal Singh from Thanpal; Prem Singh (45), son of Punjab Singh from Bidda; Som Raj (24) son of Bahadur Singh from Salal Khad and Sunny Singh (21), son of Sukhdev Singh from Baldanu in Reasi.
The injured who were shifted to NHPC Jyotipuram Hospital were identified as Mangat Ram, Rashpal Sharma, Krishan Singh and Shakeel Ahmed. Their condition is said to be stable.
Meanwhile, six persons were injured when a Tata Sumo vehicle rolled down near Gursai in Mendhar area of Poonch this evening. The injured were removed to SDH Mendhar from where four seriously injured were referred to GMC Rajouri. The injured were identified as driver Mohd Ayub, son of Faiz Mohd of Gursai; Wajid Khan, son of Majid Hussain of Kasot; Mohd Naseem, son of Mir Mohd of Kasot; Sahira Naseem (18), daughter of Mohd Jahangir; Mohd Issac, son of Said Mohd and Ruksana Kouser (10), daughter of Mohd Shamim of Sakot in Gursai. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
