15 injured in road accident

KATHUA, June 23: Fifteen people were injured in road accident which took place at village Jandarli in Basholi area. Out of them five persons were shifted to Associated Medical College Kathua for better treatment by Basholi Sub District Hospital.
The accident took place when a load carrier bearing Registration No JK08H 6521 turned turtle on a sharp curve on Basholi- Bani road. Twenty five persons travelling in the ill fated vehicle received severe injuries. They were evacuated to PHC Jandarli. But no doctor or para medical staff was available in the PHC to attend them and provide first aid.
The local youth provided first aid to them and later shifted them to Sub District Hospital Basholi. The five injured were shifted to Kathua Medical College. They have been identified as Bansi Lal, Santosh Kumar, Sagar Singh ,Darahan Singh and Bittu Ram. Police registered a case in this connection under relevant sections of the law.
