REASI, July 26: Foiling two separate attempts of bovine smuggling, police today rescued 15 animals and arrested two persons in Mahore area of this district.
Acting on specific information that some persons were on way towards Kashmir via Budhal Gora Batna Gali alongwith bovine animals without any legal permission, a police team, led by SHO Chassana Salim Altaf Raina under the supervision of SDPO Mahore, Ayaz Ahmad, laid a naka near Sangur Baree Tar Lower Tulli, Chassana. The Police rescued 12 bovine animals from the possession of accused person namely Bahadur Ali of Dandhote Budhal. The accused was arrested and a case in this connection was registered at Police Station Chassana.
Three more bovine animals were rescued from the possession of accused Mohd Ashraf of Thuroo at Khour area of Mahore by police party of PP Dewal. The accused person, who was carrying the bovine animals towards Kashmir illegally, was arrested. In this connection another case been registered at Police Station Mahore.
