144 +ve cases in J&K, 3 in Ladakh

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/LEH, Aug 21: Jammu and Kashmir today reported 144 COVID positive cases while Ladakh recorded three new infections.
Jammu region registered 47 cases including 13 each in Jammu and Doda districts, 10 Kishtwar, six Rajouri, four Reasi and one in Poonch district.
Udhampur, Kathua, Samba and Ramban districts didn’t report any new cases today.
Forty three persons today recovered from the virus.
Jammu region now has 429 active positive cases.
The Union Territory of Ladakh today recorded three new COVID positive cases including two in Leh and one in Kargil district.
Ladakh now has 72 active positive cases.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today recorded 97 fresh COVID-19 positive cases.
Those who tested positive include 31 from Srinagar, 8 from Baramulla, 3 from Budgam, 2 from Pulwama, 9 from Kupwara, 19 from Anantnag, 11 from Bandipora, 7 from Ganderbal, 6 from Kulgam and 1 from Shopian.
As per officials figures, 71,954 positive cases including 834 deaths and 70,871 recoveries are from Srinagar, 23,802 including 282 deaths and 23,447 recoveries are from Baramulla, 23,053 including 22,785  recoveries and 206 deaths are from Budgam, 15,276 including 15,053 recoveries and 194 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,201 including 166 deaths and 13,988 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,433 including 16,161 recoveries and 205 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,597 cases including 9,435 and 100 deaths are from Bandipora, 10,065 including 9,918 recoveries and 78 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,395 including 11,210 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,593 including 5,531 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Shopian.
The number of cases in Kashmir division has reached 201,369 including 198,399 recoveries and 2,240 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,159 including 730 from Kashmir division.
With 126 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 318,535, which is 98.29 percent of the total cases.
