UDHAMPUR, Mar 10: A 14 year old girl committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence in Bariyalta, Ramnagar.
A police spokesman said that Champa Devi (14), daughter of Ajeet Kumar, resident of Bariyalta Ramnagar, consumed some poisonous substance at her residence. The family members noticed her in serious condition and rushed her to Sub District Hospital Ramnagar.
Because of her critical condition, doctors referred the girl to District Hospital Udhampur. However, she did not respond to the treatment and soon died.
The police after completion of all the legal formalities and post-mortem, handed over the body to family members for last rites.
Cause of provocation behind the extreme step could not be ascertained while Police have registered a case in this connection for further investigation.
