14-day Academic Summer Camp inaugurated

JAMMU, June 4: The 15th Academic Summer Camp being organized by Harbans Roshan Bhalla Educational Foundation commenced today.
Forty-one girl students from classes 8th, 9th and 10th are participating in this 14-day residential camp, which will conclude on June 17. The students come from various rural areas, including Arnia, Jourian, Doomi, Patti, Kore-Jagir Nagrota, Bathera, Amb, Marjali, Kangrail, Prithipur, Udhampur, Akalpur, Gurah Brahmna, Garh Mandi and many other villages in the region.
The Camp was inaugurated by Professor Poonam Dhawan, former Dean of Academic Affairs at Jammu University (JU) and Cluster University of Jammu (CUJ). She addressed the students and emphasized the importance of learning life lessons early on, which would guide them throughout their lives.
The 14-day Camp offers a valuable opportunity for students to develop both academic and personal skills. Participants will benefit from lectures on life skills, physical activities, academic support, and personality development. Additionally, health checkups will be conducted by doctors. Balanced wholesome meals will also be provided throughout the camp.
The students will engage in a variety of enriching activities, including drama, debates, yoga, music, picnics, sports, arts and craft. Counseling sessions will also be organized with psychology scholars.
Managing Trustee, Kunil Bhalla, addressed the students and parents to highlight the objectives of the camp. He emphasized the importance of utilizing this opportunity to raise academic and personal standards.
