JAMMU, Mar 5: In one of the biggest haul of narcotics consignment, police today seized 130 kg ‘bhukki’ from a tanker at Dogra Chowk and arrested two narcotics smugglers.
Police intercepted tanker No. 9609 JK02AC at Dogra Chowk under the jurisdiction of Nowabad police station and seized 130 kg ‘bhukki’ concealed in it.
Two narcotics smugglers were arrested from the truck. They have been identified as Gurdev Singh, son of Maan Singh, R/o Sainik Colony, owner of the petrol tanker and Kartar Chand, son of Dewan Chand, R/o Phinter, driver of the tanker.
Both the accused have been booked under NDPS Act. The tanker has also been seized.
Police parties from Nowabad police station headed by SHO Jaipal Sharma made the arrests and the seizure.
