JAMMU, Apr 11: A total 13 candidates are in fray for the elections to the six posts of the office bearers of the Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
According to Election President, Shiv Partap Gupta, today (April 11) was the last date fixed for receipt of nominations for contesting the upcoming elections to various posts of office bearers of the Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Till 5.00 PM, the deadline fixed for receipt of nominations, a total 13 candidates filed nomination papers .
Giving detail Gupta said for the post of president, sitting president- Arun Gupta and former president Rakesh Gupta filed their nominations, for the post of senior vice president two candidates Anil Gupta and Deepak Aggarwal are in fray.
Two candidates – Rajiv Gupta and Sunil Gupta are contesting for the post of junior vice president, for the post of secretary general, Manish Gupta and Rahul Mahajan are in the fray, for the post of secretary Ashu Gupta and Rajesh Gupta are facing each other while for the post of JCCI treasurer, three candidates -Manik Gupta, Rajesh Gupta and Rajeev Langar are contesting.
As already announced, the Chamber elections will be held on May 11, 2025 (Sunday). Two members Manmohan Singh and Kulbhushan Gupta are assisting the Election President, Shiv Partap Gupta.
