UDHAMPUR, Dec 10: Police foiled a bovine smuggling attempt and rescued 13 bovines, which were being smuggled in a vehicle.
The vehicle, bearing registration number JK14G-6357, was intercepted at Roun Domail naka point. Spotting Police, driver stopped the vehicle approximately 100 meters away from the naka point and fled away from the spot leaving behind the vehicle.
All the 13 bovines were rescued and shifted to a safer place while the vehicle was seized. In this regard, a case FIR No. 493/2024 U/S 223 (a) BNS 11 PCA Act has been registered in Police Station Udhampur.
