UDHAMPUR, Nov 6: Foiling an attempt of bovine smuggling, Kud Police today rescued 13 animals and seized the truck, being used for the smuggling.
Reports said that acting on reliable information, a Police Party laid a surprise naka at Kud and intercepted one truck bearing Registration No.JK02AT-8215, which was on way towards Srinagar. Sensing trouble, the truck driver fled the scene leaving behind the vehicle. During thorough search, the truck was found loaded with 13 bovine animals, which were rescued by the Police.
Police also seized the truck and registered a case in this connection.
