JAMMU : A teenage girl and a woman were killed, while a minor boy got injured in separate incidents of landslide and house collapse at Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
“A girl Rabia Kouser (12), resident of village Marha Singliani in Surankote, died while her ten-year-old brother Mohammad Azhar sustained critical injuries after they were hit by a landslide this morning, while both were on way to school,” Deputy SP Riaz Tantray, SDPO Surankote, told.
He said here that the injured boy has been referred to the Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu. Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a woman and four goats reportedly died, when a mud house collapsed after an uneven fall of a tree in village Thera Topa of Tehsil Mendhar.
“Due to an uneven fall of a tree, a house of one Khadam Hussain got collapsed, in which Rehana Bi, wife of Riyasat Hussain, died,” Deputy SP Shahid, SDPO Mendhar here said. Four goats also reportedly died in the incident, he added. (AGENCIES)
