JAMMU, Apr 18: Police seized 12 vehicles and JCB involved in illegal mining.
As per police sources, based on specific inputs, various teams from Police Station Domana led by Inspector Mahesh Sharma, Police Station Kanachack headed by Inspector Vishav Partap Singh, Police Post Chinore led by SO AK Choudhary, Police Post Pounichak led by SI Dilawar Kumar, Border Police Post Sandwan led by SI Pawan Kumar and Border Police Post Gajansoo led by SI Lalit Sharma were constituted under the supervision of SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul.
The teams raided Tawi river-bed area and seized 12 different vehicles and JCB involved in illegal mining.
The mining was done in violation of order of High Court of J&K. In order to strictly implement the drive against illegal mining and to tighten noose against the violators of the law, Jammu Police has initiated strict action.
