12 injured in collision of minibus, truck, car

JAMMU, Mar 17: Twelve persons including a minor boy were injured in a road accident involving a truck, minibus and a car.
According to a police spokesperson, the mishap took place this morning when a minibus driver suddenly applied brakes at Greater Kailash Chowk in Kaluchak area falling under the jurisdiction of Gangyal police Station.
As the driver of the minibus (bearing registration No JK02AU-1647) which was in high speed, suddenly applied brakes, the Truck (bearing registration No JK02AB-9885) coming behind the minibus hit it, which in turn hit a stationary car in front of it. All the vehicles were coming from Bari Brahamana.
All the 12 persons injured in the mishap were passengers of mini-bus. They are identified as Rakesh Charak (33) son of Rajender Singh, Sham Sharma (37) son of Puran Singh, Darshna Devi (33) wife of Deepak Kumar, their son Prem Kumar, Rajkumar (24) son of Channa Ram, his wife, Rajni Devi (22) and Asha Devi, residents of Sarore; Ranjeet (23) son of Hansraj, his sister Sapna (22), Bushan Kumar son of Tirth Ram and Binny Devi (22), residents of Bishnah and Bagh Hussain (36) son of Abdullah, a resident of Teli Basti, Bari Brahamana.
All the injured were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for treatment.
The Gangyal police has registered a case in this regard and seized all the vehicles involved in the accident. However, no arrest was made till the last reports came in.
