12 bovines rescued, 2 vehicles seized

UDHAMPUR, Nov 7: Udhampur Police today rescued 12 bovines and seized two vehicles, which were being used for the bovine smuggling.
Team of Police Station Rehambal, led by SHO Nishat Sumbria foiled bovine smuggling bid by intercepting a Tata Mobile vehicle, bearing registration number JK20C-1172 at Rehambal naka point.
Driver of the vehicle managed to flee from the spot after leaving behind his vehicle on road. Police seized the vehicle and rescued 5 bovine animals. In this regard, case FIR under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Rehambal.
Another bovine smuggling attempt was foiled in Chenani and seven bovines were rescued. Police team of Police Station Chenani intercepted a Tata Mobile vehicle bearing registration number JK14J-1429 and rescued the animals. Driver of the vehicle managed to escape .after leaving behind his vehicle on road. In this regards, a case FIR under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Chenani.
