DODA, Feb 7: In a major crackdown on traffic violations, the Transport Department here today suspended 113 Driving Licences (DLs) and six vehicle Registration Certificates (RCs) in Doda district for violations of traffic rules and provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.
The action was taken under the guidance of Transport Commissioner, Vishesh Paul Mahajan and the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh.
The enforcement drive was carried out by Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Doda, Kapil Deol, with the objective of strengthening road safety, promoting discipline among road users and ensuring strict compliance with traffic laws.
Officials stated that such enforcement drives will continue in the future also to curb reckless driving and reduce road accidents.
