KISHTWAR, Apr 9: To ensure the punctuality in various Government offices of this district, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ashok Sharma today constituted various teams at tehsil, sub division and district levels to conduct surprise inspections.
During the inspection conducted by various teams across the district, 242 employees were found absent besides 11 offices found closed.
Acting tough against the defaulting officers and officials, the Deputy Commissioner ordered withholding of the salaries of all the absentee employees and directed concerned controlling officer to seek the explanation from concerned absentee employee within week time so that further action could be initiated against the erring officers.
Such drives to ensure punctuality and transparency of Government employees shall be conducted frequently in the district, added the Deputy Commissioner.
