11 injured as tempo skids off road at Chowki Choura

JAMMU, Dec 15: At least 11 individuals sustained injuries after a tempo traveler they were travelling in rolled down the road at Chowki Choura area here today.
A tempo traveler on its way to Nowshera from Jammu skidded off the road at Nonath, Chowki Choura area, resulting in injuries to 11 individuals, a police official said.
According to him, six of them received minor injuries. They were discharged after first aid at a local hospital, he said, adding that the others were taken to Government Medical College Jammu, where they were responding to the treatment when this report was filed.
Police identified those injured undergoing treatment at GMC Jammu as Ubaid Ashraf (25) son of Mohammad Ashraf of Khag, Budgam at present Government Quarter number 7, Amphalla, Jammu, Mohammad Shabir (25) son of Mohammad Bashir of Nowshera, BSF Head Constable Sukesh Kumar Singh (50) son of Nisith Kumar of Odisha at present 15th BSF Battalion, Nowshera, Suman Bala (40) daughter of Babu Ram of Nowshera and her daughter Priya Sharma (23), and Kulwant Kumari (64) wife of Kewal Kumar of Nowshera.
While a case under the relevant sections of the law has been registered at Police Station Akhnoor, further investigation has been taken up, the police official said.
