RAJOURI, May 19: The police rescued 11 bovine animals, seized a Tata Mobile vehicle and arrested two persons in Rajouri area last night.
A police spokesman said that a police naka party led by SHO Nowshera, Kuldip Krishan seized three bovine animals and arrested two smugglers in this connection. They were identified as Mohd Ishaq, son of Mohd Rafiq and Mohd Shafi, son of Noor Mohd, residents of Chitti Bakri village. A case FIR No. 70/ 2017 was registered against them.
Another police party led by SI Fareed Ahmed and SHO (Prob) Rajouri, Sudhanshu Verma intercepted a Tata Mobile No. JK02AC/ 4752 and seized the vehicle along with eight bovine animals being smuggled to Kashmir via Mughal Road. The accused however, managed to slip away. The police had registered a case FIR No. 204/ 2017 in this connection.
