11 bovines rescued

UDAHMPUR, Apr 14: Police foiled two separate attempts of bovine smuggling at Roundomail, under the jurisdiction of Police Station Udhampur and rescued 11 bovines.
A police team of PP Roundomail intercepted a Tata Mobile, bearing number JK14G-1908 at Nikki Nali, Roun-Domail for checking purpose. Leaving behind his vehicle, the driver fled away from the spot taking cover of darkness.
Upon checking, seven bovines were found laden in the vehicle in a very cruel manner and without any valid permission. Police rescued all bovines and seized the vehicle. FIR number 121/2025, under section 223 BNS, 11 PCA Act has been registered in this connection at Police Station Udhampur.
Another bovine smuggling attempt was foiled at Roundomail when a Tata Safari JK01P-9993 was found laden with four bovines. Driver abandoned the vehicle and fled away before Police could catch him.
FIR No. 122/2025 U/S 223 BNS, 11 PCA Act has been registered in this connection at Police Station Udhampur.
