11 bovines rescued, 2 smugglers held

JAMMU, July 18: Police today rescued eleven bovine animals and arrested two smugglers.
A police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Jhajjar Kotli Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02U-8488.
During checking, police recovered 11 bovine animals and arrested two smugglers, who have been identified as Mohammad Toyeb, son of Jamat Ali of Ragron and Barket Ali, son of Saif Ali of Akhnoor.
A case under FIR number 100/13 under Section 188 RPC, 3/5 PC Act, 119/170 MV Act has been registered at Jhajjar Kotli Police Station and investigation started.
Police party led by SHO Parvez Sajjad made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Khalik Choudhary.
