10th Kunwar Viyogi Utsav concludes, Radhika Chopra enthrall audiences

JAMMU, Sept 4: The 10th Kunwar Viyogi Utsav was concluded here today.
The concert was organised by the Kunwar Viyogi Memorial Trust to mark the birth anniversary of Sahitya Akademi Awardee and visionary Dogri poet, Group Captain Randhir Singh “Kunwar Viyogi.”
His legacy of promoting Dogri language and culture continues through the Kunwar Viyogi Memorial Trust’s decade-long initiatives, including scholarships, cultural festivals, lectures and literary awards.
The evening began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony in the presence of dignitaries, artistes and admirers of Dogri culture.
The event was turned into a memorable celebration of poetry and melody as acclaimed Ghazal singer Dr Radhika Chopra, enthralled audiences at the “Jashn-e-Viyogi” Ghazal Concert.
Dr Chopra captivated the audience with a soulful repertoire of ghazals in Hindi and Dogri.
She was supported by an ensemble of noted musicians, Nafees Ahmed (Harmonium), Amjad Khan (Tabla), Anil Dutt (Keyboard) and Kamal Kumar (Sound Engineer), who added depth and finesse to the evening.
Guest of Honour Dr Ritu Singh joined Trust Founder Poonam Singh Jamwal and Chairman Goverdhan Singh Jamwal in felicitating Dr Radhika Chopra and her accompanying musicians.
Celebrating ten years of the Trust’s cultural journey, the 10th Kunwar Viyogi Utsav featured a series of events across Jammu, bringing together poets, thinkers, artistes and youth.
The “Jashn-e-Viyogi” concert concluded the Jammu chapter on a high note, leaving the audience spellbound by the timeless blend of poetry, music and emotion.
