100 doctors terminated, enquiry against 37 ordered for remaining absent from duty in J&K

 

SRINAGAR:  As many as 100 doctors have been terminated while an enquiry has been ordered against 37 doctors for remaining absent from duty in Jammu and Kashmir. Replying to a question in the Legislative Assembly today, Minister for Health and Medical Education Bali Bhagat said 137 doctors were found absent from their duty during various inspections.

Out of these 137, 100 doctors have already been terminated while enquiry has been ordered against 37 others. “In the first phase 20 doctors were terminated, and in the second phase 80 more were terminated,” he said. He said to fill these posts, government has already referred 79 vacancies to Public Service Commission (PSC).

While, the rest will also be referred to the state recruiting body soon, he added. (AGENCIES)
