JAMMU, May 26: At least ten shanties were gutted in a mysterious blaze at Satwari area of the district today.
Around 2:30 pm, a mysterious fire erupted in a temporary hutment near Jammu Airport and later spread to other shanties, resulting in damage to scrap, a load carrier, and a rickshaw besides other household items, officials said.
They said, after hectic efforts, the fire was contained by a team of police and fire brigade.
Fortunately, no loss of life was report in the incident, officials said.
Meanwhile, a case under the relevant sections of the law has been registered at Police Station Satwari and further investigation started.
