POONCH, Jan 8: At least 10 persons were injured when a mini-bus met with an accident in Chakatro area of Mandi in Poonch district today.
Official sources said that the mishap took place when the mini-bus, bearing registration number JK12-1245, was on its way from Mandi to Poonch. When the vehicle reached Chakatro, near water tank, it skidded off the road, and fell into the fields.
At least ten persons travelling in this vehicle sustained injuries. They injured passengers were rescued by the locals of the area. The police party also arrived there shortly. The injured were shifted to District Hospital, Poonch.
Medical Superintendent DH Poonch, Dr Shafiq said that all were having minor injuries. They were treated and kept under observation for some time, later discharged. Meanwhile, police has taken cognizance of the matter.
