RAJOURI, Apr 15: At least 10 persons were injured when a mini-bus over turned in Manjakote area of Rajouri district today.
Official sources said that the mishap took place in the morning when the passenger bus bearing registration number JK02Q- 2158, was on way to Rajouri town from Manjakote. The driver lost control over the vehicle and it over-turned on the road side at Ghambir Brahmana.
The mishap resulted into the injuries to the at least ten passengers. Two of them were referred to GMC Rajouri after first- aid at local hospital at Manjakote. They were identified as Mohd Younis (52) and Shazia Kousar (22), both residents of Ghambir Mughalan.
SHO Manjakote, Inspector Manpreet Singh, said there were a total of 10 passengers on board. While two injured persons were shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) Rajouri for further treatment, the remaining passengers were taken to Government Hospital Manjakote. After receiving first aid, they were found to be in stable condition and subsequently discharged.
Medical Superintendent GMC Rajouri, Dr Shamim Choudhary, confirmed that both injured passengers are currently stable and under observation.
Police have registered a case in PS Manjakote and started investigation.
